The White (Rabid) Rabbit! See, I promised I was still working on them! I still haven’t decided on outfits quite yet, and there is a gas mask in the works for this little darling… It’s just proving a little tricky to make!
I swear I am still working on the rest of my Wonderland dolls… Just sometimes inspiration hits and you get an idea you just HAVE to create!
I was introduced to the soul-consuming little podcast known as Welcome to Night Vale, and it’s awesomeness inspired all kinds of crazy ideas. So I present you with one of my takes on an Erika!
Still in progress, but all painting is just about done! I included some early progress pictures too, it was a bit of work modding her face like that (and a wonder I don’t get more nightmares than I do creating things like this haha…)
Happy weekend everyone!
Well, after the Toxic Trio turned out so cute, looks like I couldn’t help myself when turning to the creepier side of things for little Cheshire here. Oops. (Sorry, not sorry!)
Had fun Frankensteining Catrine and Spectra for her- I was so happy with the combination and thankful I didn’t have to worry about clashing plastic tones. Still deciding whether to mod Spectra’s body for Catrine’s tail. So far I think yes…
Toxic trio, all finished! Hoping to get a chance sometime this week to get their final photos taken :)
(Now it’s time to finish up the Cheshire Cat and White Rabbit!)
Cyanide Sweetness, the last of the toxic trio, is finally finished! Just have to put some last finishing touches on their dresses and get their boxes ready :)
(And work on dark Wonderland props!)
I feel so bad for not posting more photos lately- at least I have some almost finished dolls to share! Adorable Arsenic and Laudanum Lullaby are pretty much all set now, just need some hair styling. And hoping to finish their sister Cyanide in the next few days too!
(P.S. It is hard to see in these photos, but Laudanum’s eyes actually have teensy tiny skulls as pupils!)
Some new progress photos! This here is another doll from my Menagerie series… she is Buttermilk the albino peacock. Between re-coloring a Cleo and sewing her tiny outfit (all by hand!) there has been a lot of work that went into her… I can’t wait to see how she turns out in the end :)
One of the outfits I made for a commissioned doll, using requiemart’s pattern for the skirt and shirt! Still needs a little ironing now that it is finished, but it turned out just how I hoped.
(And for anyone interested, this is the shop I got my pattern at:
https://www.etsy.com/shop/DGRequiem Help support her so she can make more patterns! She also is here on tumblr and runs her own blog too..)
Little poison bottles ;)
I’ve also been messing with some stands :D
Glitter and resin are the worst kind of mess, but the results are so much fun
I was thinking about decorating stands as well, I saw a few months ago a girl glued flowers to her Skelita stand.
Cool! I could see trying that out at some point. This was just a little experiment, I had leftover resin from other projects and decided it was time for some fun. What I REALLY want to do is make new stands! I have some neat wood blocks that I want to try out as a base…
